Summary of this weekend: HAWT DAMN!
Firstly - because I was literally sweating my metaphorical balls off. Anyone who went to spooky last year knew has awesomly cold it was. This year? Yeah. Not so much. I had a blast - I got to rock four costumes (Ash Friday Night, Reanimator Saturday day - Werewolf Women of the SS for the stunt show - and Freddy Saturday night) - and meet some awesome folks.
Downsides:
1. The damn heat. I looked like a hot mess in the Reanimator costume. Ah well :/ I'll redo it again soon - and fix the severed head. Only 5 people knew who I was :/ You sadden me horror fans. Sadden me.
2. Broke my chainsaw :/ But lent it to a friend for his upcoming photo shoot - and he promised to fix it. Bonus?
3. Not enough time. The Stuntshow stole my entire saturday. I missed hangage with good people - but it was still hella fun.
Upsides:
1.
mr-phill.deviantart.com/ Did a female ash picture (and blond!). Love that dood
2. Laughs. Lots o' lots of laughs - and horror quotage. LOVE.
3. Stuntshow was a hit.
4. JOHN LANDIS!!!!!! /dies
5. Started my spooky off with Halloween Horror Nights. THEY HAVE ASH AND PIT WITCH LOVE! I squeed and screamed myself silly. Hence the hoarse voice this weekend. Sounding like Fran Drescher = FAIL.
An amazing weekend. Can't wait for next year

A side note: partaking in my Halloween Horror Movie Thon. I'd review them all here but I doubt you'd care - however, I've been reminded that William Shatner took acting lessons from Bella Lugosi, renewed my love of Vincent Price, fell in swoon with Trick r' Treat and Zombie Land, and discovered that the japanese have a godzilla-Frankenstein. WIN.

Costume Info:
1. The wolfman was created by TJ and I - fur and foam were glued and hand sewn onto an under shirt and pants, with his costume layered above it. Some of the make up was done at home - and then the awesome people at Evil Fire Lizard did a bang-up job on it pre-stunt show. His fur was glued to his face via spirit gum (bad idea - next time, super glue), and his teeth were made by our friend Skully.
2. Frankie's head was a modded Boris Karloff mask, spirit gummed (again, bad idea) down, and painted by the Evil Fire Lizard Folks. His shirt and shoulders used foam padding.
3. Dr. Carl Hill's head was a modded John Kerry Mask. Stuffed with fabric and super glued down to a baking pan - filled with paint and stage blood. His eyes are made outta' bouncy balls
Needs a lot of work.
4. Freddy's skin done via liquid latex and cream paint. Totally not fun to peel off.
